Techniques

Since 1980, Elisabeth Mauracher participates in exhibitions and learned the most diverse painting techniques: watercolor, acrylic, etching and collage.

Each type of fabric is a strong life of its own basis, depending on whether they are old linen, silk, cotton fabrics or interfacing, they must be treated differently. The fabric offers during the work process many variations, breaks and interruptions in work is quite possible. For example, some images are started but not completed until later.

The artist not primed their substances, it remains the structure as a background. This fact and also accidents, as already existing cross-stitch motifs or embroidered monograms are ultimately elements of the work.

Elisabeth Mauracher is an artist who works elaborately with acrylic and fabric paints, oil pastels, ink and ink pens on a variety of textile materials.
